TokenDance 2022 will commence on November 25-27
TokenDance2022 will host a co-creation summit for Web3 builders and senior executives from major Web2 companies, exploring breakthroughs for Web3 applications and nurturing the spark of innovation within the Chinese community.

An intersectional innovation summit bridging industry and Web3, a carnival for Chinese-speaking Web3 builders.
-
The status of Chinese in web3 does not match their capabilities.
-
Before TikTok, no one believed Chinese teams could build global internet applications. Status is determined by the market, not investors’ biased perspectives.
-
Go capture the market! Serve users! Remove the tinted glasses!

TokenDance 2022 rises in Shanghai

At TokenDance 2022, we aim to unite senior-level professionals from major Web2 companies with Web3 builders, combining strengths to forge an innovative path grounded in frontline industrial experience and blockchain technology.
From November 25 to 27, 2022, TokenDance 2022 will host a co-creation summit for Web3 builders and mid-to-senior level professionals from large Web2 firms, exploring breakthroughs in Web3 applications and nurturing sparks of innovation among Chinese creators. Centered on the theme “frontline business experience + Web3 technologies and philosophies = innovation spark,” participants will seek to uncover the entrepreneurial DNA of Chinese Web3 innovators.

TokenDance 2022 is organized by TokenDance, a Web3 builder community primarily composed of current and former ByteDance employees, now comprising over 1,200 members.

Other organizers include Alibaba Web3 Alumni Association, Web3 Factory & SinoDAO; co-organizers are Aptos World, Buidler DAO, and 2DAO3; sponsors include iKuLoud and OKX.
The three-day event features two days of online livestreaming across multiple platforms and one day of offline main venue activities in Shanghai, along with satellite sessions in other cities.
High-profile speakers, diverse ideas colliding
The summit has specially invited 50 leading figures from around the world, along with 100 outstanding project teams, who will participate in 17 thematic forums designed to foster idea exchange, interconnection, and collaboration toward discovering pathways for Web3 applications to break into the mainstream.
Attendees are expected to include over 5,000 employees from major Web2 tech companies, more than 500 blockchain enthusiasts from top universities such as Tsinghua, Peking University, and Stanford, over 2,000 Web3 builders, 100+ investment institutions, and over 3,000 professionals from various industries.
Confirmed speakers include Wang Feng (Founder of Element), Jack Kong (Founder of Nano Labs), west.bit (Co-founder of .bit), Liu Lixin (Founder of Keystone), Meng Yan (Founder of Solv), and Winson (Founder of Bitizen).

After Web2, we're all on the journey of building Web3 order
Over the past decade of Web2 dominance, the internet has reshaped the physical world—e-commerce, mobile payments, social media—all redefining how humanity lives and interacts across cyber and physical spaces.
However, with the arrival of the post-pandemic era, pressures from traditional industries, increasing regulatory maturity, and shrinking incremental markets have collectively squeezed Web2's room for growth. Meanwhile, a sky city driven by blockchain, rising above the graves of countless internet startups, is setting sail. On the path of constructing Web3 order, we witness extraordinary vitality—NFTs repeatedly breaking into the mainstream, DeFi legos stacking layer upon layer, self-compounding membership reputations, and more.
Breakthrough Web3 applications must be built on sharp insights into markets and users
Recently, Token 2049—the premier Web3 event—was held successfully in Singapore. During that time, numerous Chinese teams hosted private gatherings back-to-back, while Chinese investors armed with capital met team after team, reminiscent of the heyday of internet investment summits in Beijing and Shanghai over the past decade. Yet terms like "run" (emigrate) and essays referring to "Web3 Jews" reveal the current difficulties facing Chinese entrepreneurs in Web3—not to mention the lack of a major Chinese-led Web3 conference.
In this challenging context, we hope to see the emergence of breakout Web3 applications—and such a grand vision must rest on deep market and user insights. Therefore, TokenDance 2022 takes up the mantle: bringing together senior Web2 professionals and Web3 builders to exchange ideas and envision the future, merging the former’s understanding of markets and users with the latter’s deep grasp of technology and philosophy, pooling wisdom to explore and touch the future together.

Here, we aim to provide a platform encouraging every aspiring individual to share diverse perspectives, sparking a true intellectual collision between Web2 and Web3.
17 online themed roundtables, gathering experts across Web3 domains
On November 25 and 26, our online roundtables will feature industry leaders from both Web2 and Web3, covering topics including the global landscape of Web3 development and strategies for transitioning from Web2 to Web3. Key tracks include Web3 social, Web3 security, new retail models in Web3, Web3 gaming, creator economy, XR and Web3, personal privacy in Web3, and more.

Self-developed ticketing system, 1,000+ sqm offline networking space
We are also hosting an offline meetup at Xijiao Mansion in Shanghai. Located in the quiet Qingpu District, adjacent to Hongqiao Airport and high-speed rail station, the venue ensures convenient cross-city travel for attendees. We offer a 1,000-square-meter villa with over ten distributed conversation rooms and 24-hour food service, creating the most comfortable environment for dialogue.

TokenDance’s self-developed ticketing tool “Ticken” will launch its public beta during TokenDance 2022. Guests attending the offline event will receive NFT tickets airdropped by the organizers. This enables on-chain meeting data and intelligently recommends the most compatible attendees within the venue.
