Relation: Official website brand upgrade, focusing on exploring the data value of Web3 social graphs
Relation: The next-generation social infrastructure for Web3.
Digging into Web3 Ecosystem Needs, Relation Embarks on a New Journey
Today, we are excited to announce that after more than a month of team preparation, Relation has officially launched its new brand identity and website, along with a uniquely personalized brand logo. We have also opened access to our individual-centric Web3 social graph unlocking feature. Founded in November 2021 and headquartered in Singapore, Relation now has over 20 full-time employees. The company has recently completed its seed round at a $20 million valuation, securing investment from leading firms including Hashkey Capital, SNZ, and Signum Capital.
With this rebranding, Relation is committed to becoming an explorer of multi-chain Web3 social graph data value. Our vision is to provide the most powerful and comprehensive social relationship graphs for global multi-chain ecosystems, exploring new paradigms of people, organizations, relationships, and behaviors in the next-generation Web3 internet, and establishing ourselves as the next-generation social infrastructure for Web3.
The newly designed Relation logo is clean and elegant, using dots as core elements arranged in a hexagonal form, symbolizing harmony with the world and cooperative coexistence. On a deeper level, the individual dots represent relatively independent entities in the Web3 world, while the connected dots illustrate the essential social connections between people. The gradient from pink to purple brings stillness to motion, representing how one-degree, two-degree, and even N-degree interpersonal relationships evolve through deepening social interactions—precisely the core focus of the Relation project. From a roadmap perspective, we will continuously expand tools and services, attract more ecosystem participants, and remain committed to cooperation, coexistence, and mutual benefit as we grow alongside Web3.

Redefining Data Sovereignty: Exploring the Value of Web3 Social Data
The evolution of today's internet has deviated significantly from its original design. As users transitioned from passive information consumers to active participants, their digital footprints are now systematically recorded and controlled by corporations in the form of data. Personal data no longer belongs to individuals—it has become a profit engine for companies. Indeed, tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Twitter monetize vast amounts of user data and use algorithms to control your digital experience. Imagine if one day these platforms shut down or suspended your account—your posts, memories, and entire social network would vanish instantly. Sadly, despite creating this data, we’ve never truly owned it.
Similarly, strong silo effects exist among current internet monopolies. Each platform jealously guards user data within its own ecosystem. We cannot easily transfer our Twitter data and connections to Facebook—we must recreate accounts and spend significant time rebuilding networks. Clearly, we are powerless in this system.
We believe Web3 represents a highly creative era—an evolution of the current internet. Built on blockchain technology and native tokens, Web3 enables decentralized, open, and unrestricted interactions between individuals. Instead of maintaining multiple identities across centralized platforms, users can link all their on-chain addresses via a unified, decentralized digital identity. Data and digital assets are stored and managed securely through privacy protocols and cryptographic keys. This empowers individuals to reclaim data sovereignty, generate income from the data they create, and retain ownership rights to decide how their data is used.
Relation aims to empower Web3 users with the vision of "One Person, One Private Key, One Data Space, Unified Data Sovereignty—All in One." We decouple social relationship data from Web3 applications and store it in a private data space fully controlled by users. Users can freely store, manage, and modify any data—including contacts, gaming assets, DAO memberships, wallet holdings, and DApp authorization records. Through a permission management suite, users control what personal social data DApps can access, the scope of access, and duration. In future plans, we will introduce Data-to-Earn mechanisms to help users monetize their data.
Relation One Unlocks Social Graphs, Enabling Portable Social Networks in Web3
Relation One is a social application built by Relation for Web3 users to easily manage personal social relationship data and enjoy features such as friend matching and interest-based recommendations. It includes integrated social functions: personal profile management, on-chain identity management, P2P messaging, group chats, DAO integration, NFT avatars, friend invitations, private game leaderboards, and more. Currently, users can quickly log in via wallets like MetaMask, Internet Identity, and Polkadot. More public chain wallet integrations will be added soon, enabling all crypto users to effortlessly experience Relation One. For now, Relation subsidizes 1T Gas Fees for every user to create their private data space—zero-cost interaction.
By adding multiple chain addresses on Relation One, users can rapidly identify their unique Web3 personality tags and be accurately matched with on-chain friends and like-minded communities, forming a visual, individual-centered Web3 social graph and quickly building trusted relationships in the Web3 world. In the future, all notifications from connected DApps and NFTs will be seamlessly delivered through Relation One. When using new applications, users won’t need to recreate data, resulting in a smoother, better-engaged experience.
In the next phase, Relation aims to introduce an economic model based on Data-to-Earn, enabling users to earn revenue by authorizing access to their data. Users will share their social data value with apps or interested parties through opt-in authorization and receive corresponding rewards.

Relation Link Tool Suite: Fast Integration into Web3 Social Graphs
Based on the development and operation of Relation One, Relation provides a pioneering case study for Web3 social applications—a vanguard experiment in exploring Web3 social graph data value. Building on this, we've developed the Relation Link Tool Suite to enable all public chain ecosystem DApps and developers to quickly integrate Web3 social graph data. Developers can modularly assemble Relation One’s social components like LEGO blocks. Relation helps DApps uncover business opportunities at minimal cost, enhance social attributes, increase user stickiness, and achieve effective user growth.
We offer open-source Relation Graph query APIs, Relation Dashboard API, modular social function components, and multi-chain smart contract wallet solutions. For developers, our development scaffolding simplifies coding, testing, and deployment—no need to understand underlying protocols. With our front-end templates, contracts can be efficiently deployed with low-code development.
We are also actively exploring diverse Web3 verticals and uncovering potential use cases. For example, DID (Decentralized Identity) projects linking to the Relation Graph can gain access to valuable on-chain users and collaboratively build a universal Web3 reputation system based on social relationship data. GameFi projects can integrate our chat, friend invitation, and rank-vs features to boost community engagement and expand their user base. Even SocialFi projects can directly launch their services using our open-source Relation One template at zero cost, focusing solely on their core business.

Relation Graph: The Core Engine of Relation
Relation Graph is a Rust-based graph database—the first capable of deployment on WASM—and serves as Relation’s foundational core engine. As the technical backbone of the Relation Social Graph, it provides capabilities in graph storage, querying, computation, analysis, and core database technologies. Future expansions will include graph visualization and graph neural network modules. Currently, we use the graph database as the underlying storage engine for complex social data and provide SPARQL query language interfaces, helping Web3 applications implement advanced data paradigms and extract deeper value from social relationship data.
Relation Graph stores user-authorized data and provides data interfaces for upper-layer analytics and mining. The Relation Social Graph synchronizes whenever authorized user data is updated, aggregating all user-authorizations with public blockchain data to construct N-degree social graphs based on users’ cross-chain behaviors, asset profiles, and interest preferences. When users or applications perform deep queries, they can instantly receive analytical results from the Relation Social Graph—something impossible on native blockchains. All made possible by Relation Graph’s technical foundation. Currently, we offer rich data analysis modules including N-degree relationship recommendations and content subscription push services, with future support for advanced behavior prediction, business intelligence, and AI-powered data services.
We support developers in customizing dedicated graph databases and handling massive volumes of multi-chain user relationship data. Compared to traditional SQL relational databases, Relation Graph delivers significantly higher efficiency in data association queries. Since Web3 social networks should not—and will not—be confined to a single public chain, Relation Social Graph will continue to grow richer as Relation expands across multi-chain ecosystems.

Relation: A New Paradigm of Social Networking
The Web3 era has begun, and applications are being reshaped one by one. Through continuous exploration, we’re excited to discover that social graphs can integrate with finance, gaming, NFTs, and other domains, forming symbiotic, tightly coupled loops between business and users. Relation is committed to being a co-builder of Web3 social graph data services—developing technical infrastructure, providing data services, empowering Web3 applications, and enabling DApps to access advanced data capabilities at low cost. We return data wealth to users, helping them consolidate personal data, authorize usage, and benefit from data monetization—ensuring full ownership and value of their data. Relation is creating a new paradigm of social applications—making apps more social, making users more Web3. We are just getting started.
