TechFlow News, July 13, according to Cailianshe, Meta Platforms (META.O) announced an additional investment of $40 billion in the Louisiana data center, expanding the data center's computing capacity to 5GW.
Meta bears all costs for the energy, water resources, and related infrastructure used by the data center. Its recent agreement with Entergy will fund seven new natural gas power plants, three grid-scale batteries, nuclear power uprates, and other purchased electricity.
