TechFlow news, July 5th: Iran's Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli stated in a media interview on the 4th while attending the 14th World Peace Forum in Beijing that Iran plans to charge service fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz according to international standards. Fazli stated that before the outbreak of the US-Israel-Iran war, passage through the Strait of Hormuz was always unimpeded. Currently, Iran has not said it will collect (toll) fees or tariffs, but plans to charge service fees according to international standards to cover routine expenses such as ensuring passage safety, navigation, and environmental protection; this move is consistent with practices of other waterways worldwide. Regarding the current status of the Strait of Hormuz, Fazli said that passage through the strait is gradually returning to normal, and the channel jointly managed by Iran and Oman is restoring order.
