TechFlow News: On February 21, Sun Yuchen, Global Advisor to HTX, announced on X that HTX will donate $100,000 to support Punch, a rhesus macaque residing at Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. The donation aims to improve Punch’s living environment and support his development. Additionally, Punch has been appointed “Official Brand Ambassador of HTX.”
Reportedly, Punch was abandoned by his biological mother shortly after birth and subsequently ostracized by other monkeys at the zoo. He treats a gorilla plush toy gifted by zookeepers as a surrogate mother, carrying it with him constantly—even hugging it tightly for comfort when bullied by other monkeys. Videos of Punch quickly went viral online, drawing global attention to his remarkable resilience.
Sun Yuchen stated: “This bravest little rhesus macaque, Punch, has captured hearts worldwide. We are profoundly moved by his tenacity. To ensure Punch receives the best possible care at Ichikawa City Zoo, HTX pledges a $100,000 donation to support his growth and habitat improvement.”
