TechFlow News, July 14, according to The Block, Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark announced that it has signed a 20-year triple-net lease agreement with an unnamed global technology company with high credit rating, involving its data center campus located in Sandersville, Georgia, USA, with total contract revenue of approximately $6.6 billion. If both five-year renewal options are exercised, the total contract value could reach up to $11.6 billion.
According to the agreement, the lessee will deploy 175 MW of critical IT load at the campus, with delivery expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027. Meanwhile, both parties also signed exclusivity arrangements and letters of intent regarding CleanSpark's entire power asset portfolio located in Texas, covering up to 885 MW of locked and planned power capacity.
The deal is viewed as a significant step in CleanSpark's transformation towards artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure, and also reflects the industry trend of Bitcoin mining companies extending into data center and AI compute businesses.
