He reiterated his determination to control rising prices, as the issue of rising prices has persisted for five years. He stated in a speech released by the Federal Reserve: "Our committee members must never tolerate persistently high inflation." "We are all determined to restore price stability." "If we can formulate the right policies, and we certainly can, then the inflation problems of the past five years will become history."
