TechFlow, Sept 30 — According to Jinshi Data, Fed's Collins said she is open to further rate cuts as price pressures are expected to begin easing at some point next year. Collins noted, "Further small downward adjustments to the policy rate may be appropriate this year, but that must be data-driven." She stated her support for the Fed's decision earlier this month to cut rates by 25 basis points to the 4%-4.25% range, saying the move helped risk management by balancing employment and inflation goals. However, she added, "I still believe it is appropriate to maintain a modestly restrictive policy stance, as policymakers need to minimize the risk of further weakening in the labor market while restoring price stability."
