This event took place on July 21–22 at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre, featuring 170 speakers, 68 sponsors, and over 90 side events.

Malaysia Blockchain Week 2025 (MYBW), the second edition of the event, concluded successfully with resounding acclaim. Organized by Lydian Labs, the packed two-day program attracted 6,834 attendees from 92 countries, including 20% international visitors who traveled specifically to explore Malaysia's advancements in Web3.
Held on July 21–22 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, the event featured 170 speakers, 68 sponsors, and over 90 satellite activities—ranging from main stage keynotes, panel discussions, exhibitions, and product launches, to business networking sessions, private dinners, and even casual pickleball matches—delivering an immersive and highly interactive experience for attendees, partners, and sponsors alike.
"This is not just another gathering. It’s a clear signal: Malaysia is ready to lead. The foundation has been laid—now it’s time to move forward with purpose. The moment to act is now. Let us build boldly, innovate fearlessly, and shape the future together."
— Noelle Lee, Co-founder of Lydian Labs
When Public Policy Meets Private Support
MYBW showcased deep engagement between public and private sectors. Government bodies including the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Ministry of Digital actively participated, presenting a forward-looking vision for Malaysia’s role in the global Web3 industry and engaging in substantive discussions about positioning the nation as a regional leader.
MOSTI reaffirmed its commitment to establishing Malaysia as a regional digital hub for blockchain technology—a strategic priority aligned with its ministry-wide goals. This strengthens Malaysia’s reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s most promising blockchain and Web3 hubs, demonstrating its dedication to fostering an open and future-ready digital economy. This initiative was further advanced with the official launch of the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure (MBI) during MYBW2025.
"This embodies the essence of Malaysia MADANI: where innovation meets compassion, progress is guided by trust, and technology benefits all layers of society. The relevance of blockchain in finance, supply chains, halal traceability, and public services continues to grow." — YB Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI)
Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo also attended a blockchain industry roundtable, discussing the unprecedented opportunities blockchain presents for the nation. During a closed-door session, the minister engaged with industry leaders and thought pioneers, deepening understanding of the strategic pathways that set Malaysia apart.
"I emphasized the need to truly understand the opportunities ahead for our local blockchain industry, as well as the challenges we must address, to create an environment genuinely conducive to growth, innovation, and investment." — YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital
This roundtable marked a milestone in defining Malaysia’s future direction in blockchain technology, covering key topics such as near-term action plans. The government pledged to develop and implement complementary policies and strategies within the next five years, positioning Malaysia at the forefront of the global blockchain revolution—further signaling its recognition of the sector’s vast potential.
From Malaysia to the World
Global Web3 leaders—including Dominik Schiener, Co-founder of IOTA; Alex Svanevik, CEO of Nansen.ai; Katie Mitchell, Head of International Policy for Asia-Pacific at Coinbase; Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget; and Yoann Turpin, Co-founder of Wintermute—joined Malaysia’s top innovators to share exclusive insights on decentralized infrastructure, crypto adoption, AI-blockchain convergence, and evolving regulatory landscapes, offering attendees a multidimensional perspective combining global expertise with local context.
As Malaysia strengthens its position on the global blockchain map, MYBW continues to serve as a catalyst for cross-border collaboration, startup acceleration, and policy alignment. Overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees—including developers, founders, students, and investors—reflects strong momentum toward Malaysia’s digital future.
"With the conclusion of MYBW 2025, we hope to shine a brighter light on Malaysia and everything it has to offer—not just as a host, but as a launchpad. From here, we envision more companies scaling up, overseas firms and talent relocating to Malaysia, and, more importantly, tangible progress in regulatory frameworks and innovation pathways within the crypto space." — Dr. Ian Tan, Co-founder of Lydian Labs
