Tether, a global leader in the digital asset industry, today announced the native deployment of its USDT stablecoin on the Kaia blockchain. LINE NEXT Inc., a subsidiary of LINE focused on Web3 ecosystem development and expansion, will collaborate with Kaia—a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain supporting Mini Dapp and Dapp Portal ecosystems within LINE Messenger—to deliver USD-pegged stablecoin services to mainstream consumers across Asia via native integration of the USDT-Kaia system and LINE NEXT’s blockchain service platform.
Under this collaboration, USDT will fully support LINE’s messaging-based Mini Dapp platform and self-custody wallet infrastructure. By launching USDT on Kaia’s rapidly growing Web3 ecosystem, Tether extends the stable trading capabilities of the world’s largest stablecoin to LINE’s 196 million monthly active users. Users can now conduct in-app payments, cross-border transfers, and decentralized finance (DeFi) activities directly within the familiar LINE environment through Mini Dapps.
Mini Dapps built on the Kaia blockchain will introduce a suite of USDT-powered features, delivering seamless digital asset experiences within LINE Messenger.
Core functionalities of LINE NEXT’s USDT initiative include:
1. Users can earn USDT rewards by completing tasks across various Mini Dapps.
2. Users can conveniently send and receive USDT via wallets integrated into LINE Messenger.
3. LINE NEXT is exploring further integration of USDT into additional Mini Dapp features.
