Recently, the highly anticipated real-time blockchain MegaETH launched its public testnet. Regarding the hotly debated question of whether participating in the MegaETH testnet interactions could lead to an airdrop, the official team provided a clear response: "Public testnet participants will not receive airdrop rewards. This testnet aims to conduct technical stress testing, help developers overcome technical challenges and achieve breakthroughs, while also allowing users to experience various real-time application features."

Although the team ruled out direct airdrops for testnet participation, information from the official website reveals that MegaETH employs a dynamic token allocation mechanism for its official NFTs—a key component of its broader distribution strategy. Many community members believe that actively engaging with the testnet may still offer opportunities to earn potential MegaETH token airdrops or even future airdrops from ecosystem projects.

MegaETH has issued 10,000 soulbound NFTs called "The Fluffle," featuring a unique dynamic adjustment mechanism. Each NFT is divided into multiple evolutionary stages based on user activity, with higher tiers unlocking increasingly valuable rewards. Upon launch, some "The Fluffle" NFTs were distributed via free airdrops, while the rest were sold at 1 ETH each. This NFT series represents ownership of at least 5% of the MegaETH network. Tokens allocated through this method will have 50% released at TGE, with the remaining 50% linearly vested over six months. Notably, users who meet specific KPIs can accelerate their token vesting. As such, holders of "The Fluffle" NFTs are incentivized to interact more deeply with the MegaETH network to maximize or expedite their reward distributions.

Within the MegaETH ecosystem, projects selected for its flagship accelerator program "Mega Mafia" will be specially marked. Below is a summary of several notable projects already live on testnet or worth watching, along with recommended interaction strategies.

GTE (Selected for Mega Mafia)

GTE is a decentralized exchange built on MegaETH. It has previously raised $10 million across three funding rounds: a $1.5 million Pre-Seed round, a $6.942 million Seed round, and a $2.5 million community fundraising round via Echo. GTE’s investors include Maven 11, Wintermute, Flow Traders, Robot Ventures, IMC Trading, and Guy Young from Ethena.

Beyond trading, GTE supports liquidity provision and one-click token issuance. In the one-click issuance model, 80% of the token supply is reserved for sale on a bonding curve, while the remaining 20% is allocated to an AMM pool upon “graduation.”

Teko Finance (Selected for Mega Mafia)

Teko Finance is a lending platform within the MegaETH ecosystem, supporting under-collateralized loans and ensuring safety for both lenders and borrowers through a micro-liquidation mechanism. Its partners and supporters include Ambush Capital and CMS Holdings. The project's advisor is @0xSnarks, founder of Sentiment—Hyperliquid’s ecosystem lending platform. Users can currently join the waitlist.

CAP (Selected for Mega Mafia)

CAP is a stablecoin engine enabling the issuance of USD-, BTC-, and ETH-pegged stablecoins. Each stablecoin comes in two variants: interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing. The former earns yield from agent strategies and appreciates in value accordingly, while the latter remains strictly pegged to its underlying asset.

Agents include market makers, MEV participants, DeFi protocols, RWA companies, and other entities capable of generating returns with reasonable risk profiles. CAP leverages shared security to protect stablecoin holders from risks associated with agent activities.

CAP Labs announced a $1.9 million Pre-Seed raise in H2 2024, backed by Kraken Ventures, Robot Ventures, ANAGRAM, ABCDE Labs, SCB Limited, and Kain Warwick, founder of Synthetix, among other angel investors.

RainMakr

RainMakr is a launchpad within the MegaETH ecosystem, offering AI agent launches via "RainAI," meme launches via "RainPump," and IDO launches via "RainLaunch." The platform states that 100% of fees collected will be used to repurchase RAIN tokens.

RainMakr launched an incentivized testnet this month, running until May 7, 2025. This six-week campaign serves as a stress test for RainAI and RainPump ahead of the mainnet launch.

Interaction Strategy: Accumulate trading volume on RainAI and RainPump, compete on leaderboards—the top performers will share 60% of the mainnet airdrop pool of RAIN tokens, provided they complete certain social tasks. Users can also test creating AI agents and other features.

AWE (Selected for Mega Mafia)

AWE is a game engine designed to rapidly transform ideas into open 3D experiences, such as AI simulations, crypto games, and virtual galleries. Currently, only the mini-game Whack A Fluffle is available. Similar to whack-a-mole, rabbits randomly pop up from holes, and players score points by clicking on their heads to send them back down.

Nectar AI is an AI companion generation platform where users can currently earn points through daily logins, spinning the Gachapon wheel, creating images and videos, and completing social tasks.

Recently, Nectar AI launched "Nectar Love Island," a digital realm powered by AWE. Users can now exchange accumulated Nectar points for LOVE tokens, which grant access privileges.

Bebop

Bebop is a multi-chain DEX and API platform incubated by Wintermute, supporting Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Berachain, BNB Chain, Polygon, as well as Monad and MegaETH.

In addition to standard swaps, Bebop allows users to swap one token into up to five different tokens in a single transaction, or consolidate multiple tokens into one. According to Bebop’s official site, it does not have its own native token.
