Movement Public Mainnet Beta is now live
Now, Movement Network supports permissionless application deployment and user onboarding for the first time—you can freely build on Movement.

Movement Network Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of the public mainnet beta!
Movement Network now supports permissionless application deployment and user onboarding—start building freely on Movement today.
The release of the public mainnet beta marks the completion of Movement Network's initial phase, with more features to come.
What is Movement?
Movement is a secure and scalable Move-based blockchain protected by Ethereum and cryptographic economics, leveraging Move (a language similar to Aptos) to build a more secure execution environment.
Its high-level architecture and transaction lifecycle can be described as follows:

Movement High-Level Architecture and Transaction Lifecycle
Execution
Movement uses the Move Virtual Machine (MoveVM) as its execution layer. With BlockSTM acceleration, MoveVM forms a powerful execution engine capable of achieving over 160,000 TPS in theory.
Data Availability and Ordering
Movement’s primary nodes batch and store transactions while providing partial transaction ordering. Celestia then assists in finalizing the transaction order. In the future, transactions will be ordered through a decentralized sequencer.
Settlement
Transaction blocks are anchored to Ethereum, making Movement the only Move-based blockchain that settles to Ethereum. Proofs of block states are submitted to Ethereum as part of Movement’s post-confirmation mechanism, which also underpins the network’s upcoming fast finality settlement system. Additionally, this confirmation layer will enable transaction confirmations within seconds.
Gas Token
MOVE is the native gas token of Movement Network.
Move
Developed by Meta, the Move language introduces resource-oriented programming. It provides developers with domain-specific primitives essential for writing secure smart contracts, along with the Move Prover tool, which enables formal verification.
Building on Movement
Developers can now deploy smart contracts without approval. Users can now access Movement.
To prevent Sybil attacks and abuse and ensure system security and stability, endpoints will enforce rate limiting.
Bridging
Movement’s official bridge is now live.
Powered by LayerZero, this bridge serves as the official entry and exit point for Movement Network.
You can now bridge MOVE between Movement and Ethereum. Other supported assets include: USDT, USDC, WETH, and WBTC. Initially, users cannot bridge MOVE back to Ethereum, but this restriction is temporary.
Initially, bridging assets from Movement to Ethereum will have a maximum waiting period of up to 3 days. There is no waiting period when bridging from Ethereum to Movement.
To minimize potential losses in case of exploits, the cross-chain bridge imposes daily caps on the total amount of MOVE that can be transferred:
- Day 1: 75 million MOVE
- Subsequent days: 25 million MOVE
Movement Ecosystem Day-One Overview
Many applications have already been deployed on Movement, with more rolling out soon. Here are some of the many activities you can now engage in on-chain:
- Bridge MOVE using the official bridge
- Stake MOVE on Thunderhead, Meridian, or Movernance
- Buy NFTs or launch a collection on Tradeport
- Deposit assets into Canopy to earn yield
- Borrow and lend on MovePosition or Echelon
- Trade on Yuzu or Warpgate
- Issue tokens on move.fun or warpgate.fun
- Launch AI agents on DeAgentAI or interact with agents on RNDM
- Mint AI art NFTs or upload models on CoScription
- Predict outcomes on BRKT
Movement wallets: Nightly, OKX, Razor
These represent just a few of the many teams now live on Movement. Expect a continuous stream of new app announcements, explanations, and video demos starting today.

Enhanced Liquidity
The Cornucopia program will provide enhanced liquidity to Movement Network. With over $200 million flowing into the program’s treasury and eventually into Movement, our ecosystem will receive early injections of BTC, ETH, MOVE, and stablecoin assets.
