Cetus and Aftermath, DeFi projects in the Sui ecosystem, announce launch of incubator
Cetus and Aftermath Finance, decentralized exchange projects in Sui DeFi, together with the Sui Foundation, announce the launch of a new incubator.
By: Sui Network

Cetus and Aftermath will launch two new incubators to provide developers with expert-level technical, operational, and business guidance, along with funding support.
Cetus, a decentralized exchange in Sui DeFi, and Aftermath Finance have partnered with the Sui Foundation to announce the launch of new incubators aimed at providing startups with greater feasibility and support. Both projects have a long history on Sui, launching alongside the mainnet last year and currently ranking among the top five in terms of TVL. Their longevity and success position them to offer crucial expertise to emerging projects.
Projects accepted into the incubators will gain access to technical, operational, and business advice, accelerated funding opportunities, and various additional supports provided by the Sui Foundation. Cetus and Aftermath have both played pivotal roles in establishing Sui as a leading DeFi blockchain, achieving significant milestones. The Sui Foundation will initially allocate $2 million in funding to teams admitted into the incubators, with further investments available for high-performing teams and projects.
Aftermath offers a suite of DeFi services, including trading, staking, and cross-chain bridging. It won first place in last year’s Sui Liquid Staking Hackathon with its afSUI token. Liquid staking, which allows users to leverage their staked tokens, has become one of Aftermath’s core offerings. Its smart order routing technology leverages Sui’s extremely fast settlement times to optimize trading performance.
Cetus combines DeFi services such as trading, liquidity pool participation, and cross-chain bridging, with over $150 million in TVL. It provides users access to Sui’s first native liquidity layer, DeepBook. Beyond retail services, Cetus also offers what it calls liquidity services that support integration with Sui-based applications.
The launch of these incubators represents a significant step toward further decentralizing the Sui ecosystem by placing governance of ecosystem investments in the hands of proven developers who have supported Sui’s growth from the beginning.
Developers looking to take their projects to the next level are encouraged to apply to the Aftermath Incubator and Cetus’ Aquarium Incubator.
