KIP Protocol: A New Exploration of Web3 and Decentralized AI
KIP Protocol's core mission is to break existing AI monopolies and advance decentralized AI development.
As blockchain and AI technologies rapidly advance, new application scenarios and business models continue to emerge. Amid this wave of innovation, KIP Protocol has become a standout rising star. In a recent AMA hosted by Inspect DAO, KIP's co-founder and CEO Julian, along with Chief AI Officer Jennifer, shared their insights and the latest project developments.
KIP Protocol is a decentralized Web3 infrastructure protocol focused on AI, built for AI app developers, model creators, and data owners to securely transact and monetize within Web3.
The Origin of KIP Protocol
KIP was co-founded by Julian and Jennifer. Julian brings extensive experience in the internet and cryptocurrency industries, having founded multiple companies since 1998 and accumulated valuable investment expertise. He first deeply engaged with the Web3 sector during the 2017 bull market, later shifting his focus toward investing in AI technology. It was during this journey that Julian met Jennifer, a prominent researcher in machine learning and natural language processing. Jennifer moved to Singapore in 2014 to pursue her Ph.D., then went on to establish a consulting firm specializing in delivering AI solutions for governments and international organizations.
The founders’ strong AI backgrounds, combined with their shared passion for decentralized technology, gave rise to KIP Protocol. KIP aims to widely distribute the power of AI through blockchain technology, promoting fairer and more transparent technological applications.
KIP Protocol’s Mission: Anti-AI Monopoly
The core mission of KIP Protocol is to break existing AI monopolies and drive the development of decentralized AI. Web2 AI giants like OpenAI collect data from across the internet to train their models and ultimately monetize them, while the actual data owners receive no compensation.
By providing a suite of tools and frameworks, KIP supports AI developers in migrating their applications from traditional Web2 platforms to decentralized Web3 environments, enabling better product development and monetization. KIP focuses not only on technical development but also on building a healthy ecosystem where all participants in the AI industry can benefit and contribute to the sector’s overall advancement.
SFTs and Staking
KIP Protocol adopts the ERC-3525 standard, using Semi-Fungible Tokens (SFTs) to represent ownership of AI models, algorithms, and datasets. These SFTs serve not only as tradable and investable assets but also as a mechanism to secure creators’ rights and revenue. Specifically, through the semi-fungible ERC-3525 standard, an AI model can be minted as an SFT and then divided into fungible fragments. The model creator may retain 90% while selling the remaining 10% to investors. This allows users—even ordinary ones—to own and trade fractional stakes in AI models and directly participate in investment and profit-sharing.
Additionally, Jennifer emphasized the role of KIP’s token staking system in ensuring transaction transparency and fairness. The KIP token will serve as the native currency across the entire protocol. Ecosystem participants must stake KIP tokens; if they act maliciously, they will face penalties. This creates a secure and reliable environment, safeguarding the entire process from model training to commercialization and ensuring fairness and transparency.
KIP Genesis Pass and Future Outlook
The KIP Genesis Pass is即将 to launch Free Mint. KIP has already distributed whitelists via Quests to actively engaged community members. Genesis NFT holders will enjoy various exclusive benefits, including airdrops, early access to future AI tools, opportunities to obtain whitelists for KIP partner projects, and access to all upcoming incubated projects.

KIP has established partnerships with several renowned educational and tech institutions to jointly develop projects and promote new technologies. Recently, KIP announced a collaboration with decentralized education platform Open Campus to empower the education sector. Going forward, KIP will continue advancing decentralized AI through collaborations with other tech providers, academic institutions, and business partners. These partnerships not only strengthen KIP Protocol’s technical foundation but also bring greater opportunities and resources to Pass holders and the broader user community.
Julian revealed that the KIP Genesis Pass is just the beginning, with more activities and airdrop rewards on the way. Important announcements are expected in May—stay tuned to KIP’s official Twitter and join communities on Discord and Telegram to get the latest updates.
