On April 9, the "TRON x HTX DAO 2024 Hong Kong Night," hosted by TRON and co-organized by HTX DAO, was grandly held in Hong Kong. Representatives from multiple projects involved in the HTX DAO ecosystem, committee members, and well-known KOLs attended the event and delivered speeches on HTX DAO's development and the cryptocurrency industry.
At the event, TRON founder Justin Sun shared via video his insights on TRON’s ecosystem development and HTX DAO’s exploration of decentralization.
Sun stated that blockchain technology will be leveraged to build a borderless financial system, supporting billions of people worldwide who currently lack access to traditional financial services.
According to him, TRON has surpassed 220 million accounts, with over 7.4 billion transactions processed and a total value locked (TVL) exceeding $23.5 billion—second only to Ethereum among public blockchains globally—and has facilitated transactions worth more than $11 trillion. Recently, HTX DAO completed its first People's Committee election and established strategic partnerships with over 30 projects, institutions, and exchanges, aiming to consolidate expertise and influence within the blockchain space and shape a new paradigm for decentralized governance.
Sun analyzed that in the past year, the approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs, along with innovations in Layer 2 and Web3, have drawn attention and additional capital from traditional financial markets. The entire crypto market is now infused with a bullish sentiment, and Bitcoin may potentially reach $160,000–$200,000. During such bull markets, it is crucial to consider how to lead teams and communities to not only survive but thrive over the next decade. In his view, community self-governance and decentralized decision-making are key elements in the development of crypto projects, ensuring transparency, fairness, and collective ownership—principles that remain both the starting point and ultimate goal of his journey in blockchain.
Given this, Sun believes the crypto space must pursue not only technological innovation but also advocate for a community culture rooted in transparency, fairness, and autonomy. Moving forward, through collaborative efforts, the integration of people, community, and users as one unified force will become the core driving power behind the crypto market, as well as the foundation of TRON DAO and HTX DAO.
Sun also pointed out that Hong Kong has become a bridgehead for blockchain services and expressed confidence that Hong Kong will evolve into a metaverse financial free port, offering a dedicated platform for the growing industry to operate in cryptocurrency and blockchain.
Additionally, several crypto KOLs and project representatives delivered speeches at the event on HTX DAO development and the state of the crypto industry. Moon, a member of the first HTX DAO People's Committee, said, "As long as you're in the market, there's always opportunity." Jesssie, spokesperson for the Miss Asia Charity Foundation, believed that HTX DAO empowers every member to become a community leader.
