HTX Ventures Announces Strategic Investment in Camp Network to Build the Future of On-Chain Consumers

On April 3, HTX Ventures announced a strategic investment in Camp Network, reaffirming its commitment to expanding the reach and usability of Web3 technologies. Camp Network is an innovative modular Layer 2 blockchain platform tailored for on-chain consumers in vibrant sectors such as music, media, and entertainment.
Camp Network has secured a strong $4 million funding round. This new capital will support the network’s mainnet launch and accelerate the growth of over 20 teams building within the Camp Network ecosystem.

James Chi, co-founder of Camp Network, commented on the significance of the funding: "Blockchain infrastructure has advanced significantly over the past few years, but the future of blockchain will be defined by how it serves and is used by global consumers. This investment will accelerate Camp Network's mission to reshape the future of on-chain consumers and further grow our ecosystem for diverse user experiences."
The head of HTX Ventures explained the rationale behind the investment: "For blockchain technology to achieve widespread adoption, delivering innovative experiences and ease of use to Web2 users is critical. The entertainment industry offers new frontiers for artists and fans to explore novel experiences, and Camp Network emerges precisely in this context. By integrating Web2 user data with Web3 experiences, Camp Network aims to bridge the gap between traditional and digital frontiers. Given the team’s expertise, passion, and achievements in user acquisition, this company could become a significant milestone in the Web3 industry."
User engagement data represents a highly valuable dataset, yet current applications struggle to track it effectively. Camp Network leverages off-chain engagement data from social and streaming platforms—where most users’ digital identities currently reside—through its “Digital Backpack” feature, helping consumer apps better understand and incentivize valuable behaviors.
In just three months since its initial launch, the team has made significant progress. Over 20 teams are now building within the Camp Network ecosystem, including native projects and teams migrating from other major ecosystems.
With the successful completion of its seed funding round, Camp Network is intensifying efforts to build out its ecosystem and redefine consumer crypto experiences. The company plans to launch its public testnet in April and its mainnet by June.
