The First HTX DAO People's Committee Election Is Now Open – Uniting Efforts to Achieve Democratic Self-Governance
The election lasted for 12 days, from March 12 to March 24.
The first HTX DAO People's Committee election officially commenced on March 12. During the election period, candidates must submit proposals themed "Partnerships and Ecosystem Development." Proposals will be evaluated through two rounds of community voting, with winning proposers becoming contributors to HTX DAO and joining its committee. This initiative aims to boost community engagement and realize a more democratic, open, and inclusive organizational governance model, gradually bringing decentralized self-governance into practice.
The election runs from March 12 to March 24, lasting 12 days in total. The entire process is fully transparent and consists of several stages: rule announcement, opening of proposal submissions, first-round voting, top 10 finalists presenting live in Spaces for campaign outreach, second-round voting, and final results announcement.

Community Voting Empowers Participation: Democratic Self-Governance Is Inevitable
HTX DAO adopts a DAO-based governance model to achieve transparent and decentralized decision-making. As the community grows, holding democratic elections and establishing a People's Committee has become essential to ensure broad participation and cohesion among ecosystem members.
According to the announcement, each cycle will feature a competition centered around a specific theme. Candidates must submit proposals aligned with the given topic. Based on content quality, 3–5 outstanding proposals will be selected via community voting. Their authors will become HTX DAO contributors and join the committee. Additionally, through periodic competitions and regular member rotation, the committee ensures continuous influx of new contributors, maintaining vitality and diversity within the HTX DAO committee.
Through this committee election process, decision-making transparency improves while reducing information asymmetry within the organization. It also boosts community enthusiasm, encouraging more members to actively participate in building the HTX DAO ecosystem. This helps establish a consensus rooted in "community recognition," enabling decisions that align with community expectations, driving organizational growth, and progressively realizing democratic self-governance.
Responsibilities Matched with Benefits: Shaping a New Paradigm for Decentralized Ecosystem Governance
It should be noted that candidacy for the HTX DAO Committee will be assessed based on multiple factors including $HTX holdings, social media and community influence, community activity and engagement, governance experience, and multidimensional capabilities—with particular emphasis on the following two criteria:
1. Holding more than 20,000 USDT equivalent in $HTX:
$HTX is the governance token of HTX DAO. Holding this token signifies endorsement of the organization and its self-governance principles, helping distribute decision-making power and prevent centralized control, ensuring diverse community input. Moreover, token ownership reflects long-term support and trust in HTX DAO, which is vital for stabilizing community consensus and fostering a positive community environment.
2. Social Media Influence:
Candidates must have over 10,000 followers on social media platforms or manage a community of at least 200 members. The committee aims to attract influential KOLs from the industry to expand HTX DAO’s ecosystem reach and convert high-potential contributors into active participants.
In addition, HTX DAO Committee members are expected to fulfill key responsibilities, including: regularly reviewing and drafting proposals, promoting community involvement in ecosystem development, maintaining active interaction with community members, managing and assessing potential public opinion risks, supporting community education initiatives, tracking proposal implementation, and conducting supervision and evaluations.
With responsibilities come benefits. Committee members will enjoy numerous privileges, including but not limited to: a fixed monthly reward worth 500 USDT plus additional quarterly performance bonuses, the highest-tier referral commission rates, eligibility to share in protocol-generated interest / receive portions of trading fees, early investment opportunities and token allocation rights for HTX-listed projects, exclusive access to internal events, traffic support, premium merchandise, and more.
As core contributors, HTX DAO Committee members will focus on long-term interests and proactively advance the realization of democratic self-governance. As decentralized autonomy deepens, HTX DAO will gather wisdom and influence from across the blockchain sector, shaping a new paradigm for decentralized ecosystem governance.
