Stephen Chow meets with OKX Ventures and others to discuss new scenarios combining Web3 with film and entertainment
This is the first time Stephen Chow has publicly shared his insights since announcing his entry into the Web3+AI field.

On December 29, 2023, renowned director Stephen Chow, OKX Ventures partner Jeff Ren, Nobody NFT platform co-founder Jacky, and Memeland CEO Ray Chan—the NFT project under internationally famous humor community 9GAG—held a highly valuable discussion in Central Hong Kong on topics including the integration of Web3, AI, and entertainment.
During the discussion, Stephen Chow stated: "I firmly believe great creativity comes from the grassroots. I am eager to discover masters across various fields and give them opportunities to fully showcase their talents. That's why I've provided the Web3 co-creation platform Nobody for everyone. I encourage you all to actively share your ideas. For example, regarding plot co-creation for *Mermaid 2*, I hope compelling scenes can emerge from the Nobody community, and I will seriously consider incorporating them into the actual film."
This marks Stephen Chow’s first public commentary since announcing his entry into the Web3 and AI space. As the inaugural creator on the NFT platform Nobody (formerly Moonbox), Chow has helped shape an expansive worldview for the Nobody NFTs.
Jeff Ren, partner at OKX Ventures—the investor behind Nobody—said: "It's exciting to see traditional filmmaking grow and transform in the internet era. Internet companies have continuously innovated the film industry through streaming services and big data, and they're also deeply engaging with film production via investments. Web3, powered by blockchain technology, can further empower the film industry—for instance, enabling direct connections between audiences and creators through NFTs and DAOs, inspiring more creative content, or turning movie characters into NFTs to deepen audience engagement and immersion."
"The design of Nobody NFT reflects the community spirit defined by Stephen Chow—that ordinary individuals can achieve extraordinary things. We encourage people not to be limited by social labels such as identity or status. No matter what role you play in society, if you're willing to work hard, you can shine in your area of expertise," said Jacky, co-founder of Nobody, revealing that the NFT collection may launch on February 1. Previously, internationally renowned rapper MC Jin even created a new song themed around this release, serving as a preview of the upcoming NFT drop.
Reportedly, Nobody NFT is the first NFT series launched by the Nobody platform, formerly known as Moonbox. Earlier, OKX Ventures announced a $1 million investment in the platform to support innovation.
"As a global leader in Web3, OKX has always aimed to empower more real-world scenarios through Web3. When we saw Stephen Chow post on Instagram seeking kindred Web3 spirits, we were thrilled. We look forward to seeing the development of the Nobody platform shaped by Mr. Chow, and we hope more creators can leverage such disruptive products to elevate their creative careers," added Jeff.
In recent years, OKX has actively explored cross-industry integrations between Web3 and sectors like sports and entertainment. It has already partnered with top-tier organizations such as Premier League champions Manchester City, McLaren F1 Team, and the Tribeca Festival, aiming to deliver novel Web3 experiences to users worldwide through these collaborations. As a legendary film star and director with hundreds of millions of fans across Asia and globally, Stephen Chow represents an ideal partner for OKX—and the Nobody platform could become a key bridge for their initial collaboration.
