A Practical Guide to Cryptocurrency Payment Cards: KYC and Fees—Everything You Need to Know
There is no perfect card, only smarter card users.

Previously, in our article "The Business Behind the Crypto Payment Card Frenzy," we analyzed the current wave of crypto payment card issuance and the underlying business models.
However, for ordinary users, choosing a suitable crypto payment card may be a more pressing concern.
Where can you find these cards? What factors should you consider when selecting one? And what options are currently available?
To address these questions, we’ve decided to conduct research and compile an overview of the crypto payment cards currently available on the market.
Although many similar introductory articles exist, our primary focus is usability:
Specifically, whether a card is KYC-friendly for users, filtering only those crypto payment cards that are easy for Chinese-speaking or Asia-Pacific region users (such as Hong Kong and Singapore) to register.
On this basis, we comprehensively investigate and compare each card’s application requirements, fees, rewards, supported cryptocurrencies, app functionality, and more—providing reference points for individual users’ decision-making while saving them time searching for information.
Note: All products carry risks. Please do your own research before using any service.
Additionally, this article contains no commercial promotion—read with confidence. The cards listed below are arranged alphabetically by English name. Information is compiled from official sources as of early November.
Given the fast-changing nature of card rules and operations, inaccuracies may occur; corrections and updates are welcome.
1. BasedApp Card

BasedApp Card is a non-custodial crypto debit card launched in Singapore and across Asia. Singapore residents can seamlessly spend their cryptocurrency.
Physical cards are available, but due to local regulations, ATM withdrawals are not allowed. However, point-of-sale spending is supported (the official Twitter demonstrated using the physical card to pass through subway gates).
The card essentially converts crypto assets into XSGD (a regulated Singapore dollar-pegged stablecoin), which is then spent via the card.
Card Type: Prepaid virtual and physical cards, supporting Visa.

Official Website: https://basedapp.io/
App Availability: Available on both Android and iOS via Google Play and Apple App Store. Requires use alongside PP; the app handles crypto conversion.
