1024 Tribute: Join OKX and Google Cloud to Explore the World Behind the Code
Both Google and OKX are changing the world with code.

"Hello World" is almost always the first string of characters every programmer learns. It was first mentioned in 1972 in an internal technical document titled *A Tutorial Introduction to the Language B*, written by Brian Kernighan, a member of Bell Labs.
Over the following decades, human society began to be gradually reshaped by code.
As computer hardware and internet software products like Google became widespread, people started paying more attention to the individuals behind the code—software developers (programmers).
Honoring 1024, Exploring the World Behind the Code
Developer communities are typically very low-key, yet the lines of code they write at their screens continuously shape everyday life.
Figures we recognize—Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin; Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum; Steve Jobs, father of Apple; Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg; Zhang Yiming, CEO of ByteDance—as well as pioneers such as mathematician and computer scientist John von Neumann, Alan Turing, and Tim Berners-Lee, the father of the World Wide Web, all represent top-tier developers across different eras. Each has contributed significantly to the evolution of the internet in their respective periods.
To honor these dream-builders at their fingertips, leading global Web3 technology company OKX and Google Cloud conducted a random interview ahead of the tenth 1024 Programmer Day, speaking with developers from diverse backgrounds.

Although often burdened with free dark circles under their eyes, risks of hair loss, and difficulties finding romantic partners, the interviewed developers all expressed deep passion for their work. Some said they would choose to become programmers again in their next life, while others stated they are leveraging the power of code to build applications that make it easier for the public to access the Web3 network.
Web3 frequently tops discussion charts within developer communities. While people often conceptually separate it from Web2, when returning to the original vision of the internet at the dawn of coding, Web3 appears more as a new phase in internet evolution. Its core is widely believed to lie in reshaping the relationship between people and data, returning true ownership of data back to individuals.
The Bitcoin network itself is an early prototype of Web3.
Rewriting 1024, Unleashing Creativity at Our Fingertips
Satoshi Nakamoto created a decentralized peer-to-peer cash network system through minimal code, achieving high security and transparency. This not only broke traditional financial models but also pioneered blockchain technology. The popularization of Ethereum's smart contracts further expanded the possibilities of decentralized networks—all made possible by developers embodying the hacker ethos.
As inheritors and promoters of this hacker spirit, OKX is leading efforts to build the industry alongside developers. This includes being among the first to support infrastructure development in the Bitcoin ecosystem, driving innovation in Bitcoin’s application scenarios; pioneering the adoption of MPC multi-signature technology and Account Abstraction (AA), significantly lowering the barrier for users entering the Web3 world; and integrating NFTs into daily life by providing technical support for NFT tickets at major events, bringing fingertip creativity into everyday experiences.
By choosing 1024 Programmer Day as the moment to engage the public in exploring the world behind code, OKX and Google Cloud appear to signal that the conceptual boundary between Web2 and Web3 is dissolving.
Relevant development leads state that "Rewrite the System, Rewrite the 1024" is the value anchor guiding OKX. They aim to pay tribute to developers worldwide on Programmer Day, while calling upon aspiring global developers to embrace a more open mindset and long-term vision toward Web3’s development. Within the foundational spirit of Web3, they seek to further unleash fingertip creativity, making Web3 just as user-friendly as Web2, and driving Web3 to benefit people around the globe.
Because whether it's Web3 or Web2, developers share the same "Hello World" spirit.
Both Google and OKX are changing the world through code.
