The "Path to Breakthrough for Web3 Games and Applications" event, hosted by Mirror World, Ancient8, and Opside, was successfully held on April 14 in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
The "Path to Breakthrough for Web3 Gaming and Applications" event, hosted by Mirror World, Ancient8, and Opside, was successfully held on April 14 at Xiefei Road in Hong Kong. As one of the few side events during Hong Kong Web3 Festival focusing specifically on "GameFi & Applications," this gathering offered in-depth discussions centered around gaming and application innovation. It received strong support from various blockchain gaming and application projects, with participants responding enthusiastically, calling it one of the best side events they attended during Hong Kong Web3 Festival.

During the host presentations, Howard, Co-founder of Ancient8, took the stage first, sharing how Ancient8 is building a DAO to develop infrastructure layers for GameFi, along with insights into their vision for the next-generation metaverse.

Next, Chris, CEO of Mirror World, shared his thoughts on user activation and conversion in Web3 games and applications, proposing a new paradigm for重构 Web3 development pipelines and highlighting the end-to-end value proposition that Smart Platform delivers to developers.

Jeff, CMO of Opside, delivered the closing presentation, sharing his perspectives on ZK technology. He introduced Opside’s focus on innovations in ZK-RaaS and its hybrid PoS+PoW consensus mechanism, aiming to fill the market gap for under-served ZK-RaaS solutions.

Following the host presentations, the co-hosting teams engaged in a panel discussion exploring how Web3 applications can innovate and how games can break through current limitations. The session sparked enthusiastic reactions, with attendees expressing significant takeaways. Core members from LOA, Matr1X, P12, Shiba Shiba Doge, Spike, and Oasis AI participated in the “Breaking Through in Web3 Gaming: Innovation, Opportunities, and Challenges” roundtable, sharing observations on the current state of Web3 gaming and visions for future development—insights that resonated strongly with the audience.

In another panel titled “Web3 Application Innovation: How Infrastructure Reform Will Transform Product Experiences,” leaders from Mirror World, QuestN, Parami Protocol, ReadON, and Web3.com shared their views and practical experiences on innovating Web3 applications. Their discussions illustrated builders’ determination to push forward Web3 innovation across diverse sectors, delivering rich content and thought-provoking ideas to the live audience.

Throughout the event, guests from over a dozen outstanding blockchain gaming and application projects shared their experiences and insights, showcasing emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies in Web3 gaming while offering rare opportunities for meaningful exchange.
