2023 Airdrop Guide: 20 Promising Projects to Interact With and Advice for Beginners
When it comes to choosing airdrop projects, nothing is guaranteed.

More airdrops are coming in 2023. In recent years, people have earned from airdrops:
- $50,000 worth of OP;
- $30,000 worth of ENS;
- $18,000 worth of UNI;
- $6,000 worth of APT;
But there are even more opportunities ahead.
1. Sui
Sui is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain that (like Aptos) uses the Move programming language. Testnet Wave 2 has just launched, making now an ideal time to get involved for potential airdrops.
• Stake $SUI;
• Participate in on-chain voting;
• Engage with the ecosystem;

2. Vela Exchange
Vela is a perpetual DEX launching on the Arbitrum blockchain. Their private testnet will go live in 2 days, with the public version launching within 2 weeks.
$DXP tokens are trending—participation grants free token allocations.

3. zkSync
Clearly, ZK technology is the future of Ethereum scaling, and zkSync is at the forefront of this innovation.
It might already be too late to qualify for the airdrop, but I still think it's worth trying. It could be a big surprise, so there may still be room for reward distribution.
4. Scroll
Scroll is another zkEVM-based zkRollup, achieving native compatibility with existing Ethereum applications and tools.
They recently hinted at an upcoming airdrop, stating they’re “creating incentives to encourage participation.”

5. LayerZero
LayerZero is the ultimate interoperability layer—a narrative I’m extremely bullish on.
Like zkSync, its airdrop eligibility may already be saturated, but participation requires minimal time (and the ecosystem itself is interesting to use and experiment with).
6. Shardeum
Shardeum is an upcoming linearly scalable Layer 1 leveraging dynamic state sharding. 5% of its tokens are reserved for the community via airdrop:
1. Add Shardeum to Metamask;
2. Request testnet tokens;
3. Use the network.
7. Sei Network
Built on Cosmos, Sei is the first L1 specifically designed for trading, aiming to provide an unfair advantage for exchanges.
An airdrop is confirmed (they’ll distribute 1% of all tokens to beta testers).
8. Starknet
StarkWare is a ZK-based Layer 2 scaling solution that uses STARK proofs to reduce blockchain congestion.
Their mainnet is nearing launch. While it’s getting late to qualify for the airdrop, there may still be some opportunities.

9. GammaX Exchange
GammaX, one of my favorite projects launching soon on StarkNet, is an order-book DEX powered by StarkEX technology.
10. Neutron
Neutron aims to become the primary place for deploying interchain smart contracts on Cosmos.
Backed by $ATOM, stakers of $ATOM are likely to be eligible for the airdrop.
However, additional distribution methods may come later.
11. Celestia
Celestia is a modular network enabling anyone to easily deploy their own blockchain with minimal overhead.
For airdrop eligibility, consider:
-
Creating a wallet and obtaining testnet tokens;
-
Conducting transactions on the network;
-
Running a node.
12. Fuel Labs
Fuel Labs is building Fuel, the "fastest modular execution layer in the world."
Their Beta-2 testnet recently launched, meaning early adopters may have a chance at an airdrop.

13. Quai Network
Quai Network is a Layer 1 chain combining mining with sharding.
They’ve launched 5 testnets before mainnet (suggesting possible airdrops), along with incentive programs.

14. Arbitrum
This could be the most anticipated airdrop in crypto.
Is it too late? Possibly.
Still, the current focus should be on engaging with its ecosystem.
15. Rage Trade
One cool aspect of this project is that it could help you qualify for up to three airdrops at once:
• Arbitrum
• Rage Trade
• LayerZero

16. Vertex
Vertex is another upcoming perpetual DEX on Arbitrum. Their token is about to launch, and an airdrop is highly likely (plus it helps boost your Arbitrum ecosystem activity).
17. MetaMask
We're all waiting for MetaMask’s token—$MASK is coming.
Most of us use MetaMask, but I recommend actively using built-in features if you haven’t already:
• Swap;
• Cross-chain bridge;
• Use the wallet for DeFi activities.
18. Lens Protocol
Lens Protocol is a decentralized social network, backed by a strong and environmentally conscious Web3 team.

19. Tribe
Tribe is the first gamified NFT futures decentralized exchange. I believe there's a lack of solid NFT trading solutions in the market, and this represents an innovative twist on the existing model.
Their testnet has just launched, which could be a key prerequisite for the airdrop.
20. Aztec
Aztec is a privacy-first zk-rollup on Ethereum, bringing confidentiality and cost savings to the Ethereum ecosystem. They recently raised $100 million, led by a16z.
Tips for Airdrop Beginners:
1. Stay updated on project developments. If you're aiming for airdrops, staying informed is crucial.
Make sure to join their Discords (consider creating a dedicated Discord folder to track all your airdrop targets). Also follow your favorite projects on Twitter.
2. When selecting airdrop projects—nothing is guaranteed.
In fact, many projects end up not conducting airdrops, or users get retroactively disqualified. But catching just one can create positive reinforcement to keep going.
We must also manage expectations. Some airdrops may indeed be worth thousands, but others might only yield hundreds—or less than $100.Every dollar counts, and small gains add up over time.
3. Many ecosystem projects beneath the protocols listed above may also have upcoming airdrops.
For example, if you think it’s too late to qualify for LayerZero or Arbitrum, explore unpublished projects within their ecosystems that might offer future airdrops.
