Why is Doodles seen as the next potential pop culture brand?
A brand preparing to permeate popular culture in the coming years.

The Doodles event in NYC was something I've never seen before in the NFT space. Forget about short-term price fluctuations—what they showed me was a brand ready to permeate popular culture over the coming years.

Let’s start with Julian Holguin, Doodles’ new CEO and former President of Billboard. He’s well-prepared and talented, delivering an Apple-style keynote presentation—an experience never before seen in Web3—that outlined the brand’s direction, polish, and stage presence.

He shared thoughtful reflections on the mission and vision statements. You can’t overlook how much time and care major global brands invest in such matters—every word is earned through effort. While many NFT brands lack identity, Doodles has a clear direction.

Julian mentioned that the company has already prepared numerous down-to-earth banners clearly tied to the Doodles brand. They plan to capture the attention of millions through gasless PoS (Proof of Stake) systems.

They also announced Pharrell as their Chief Brand Officer—a perfect fit, as both sides complement each other. Pharrell will produce significant content this year, including Volume One of the Doodle Records album, in collaboration with Columbia Records.

In Web3, funding matters—it provides founders with sufficient budget for long-term development, freeing them from chasing short-term gains. Doodles' funding round includes Alexis Ohanian and 776 Foundation, whose co-founders have also joined the Doodles board.

Of course, this article isn't about sharing alpha. If you want deeper insights into Doodles 2, check out other people's content. In my view, what Doodles is doing right now is unique among Web3 brands—and to me, that’s far more important than alpha.

Doodles consistently emphasizes delivering top-tier brand experiences. Everything they do is unique and user-centric, integrating art, products, and services seamlessly. I can’t wait to see Doodles pull ahead of its Web3 competitors and emerge as the leading force in the space.
