TechFlow Insights
Zircuit is a fully EVM-compatible zk Rollup, with the first phase of its mainnet launched in August 2024. The project has received support from Pantera and Dragonfly, and investment from Binance Labs.
Its architecture consists of three components:
- Sequencer that processes transactions to build L2 blocks
- Prover that generates validity proofs for these blocks
- Smart contracts that interact with the L1 system
Compared to the OP stack architecture, Zircuit achieves fast finality as a zkEVM Rollup, eliminating the need for a challenge period on withdrawal transactions.
Additionally, it's worth noting that Zircuit features Sequencer-Level Security (SLS) to prevent malicious transactions and hacker attacks.
Since 2022, the Zircuit team has built a new L2 network introducing a revolutionary on-chain security approach. Zircuit protects dApps and their users through its novel infrastructure, featuring sequencer-level security and built-in automated AI technology to defend against smart contract vulnerabilities and malicious actors. The network’s hybrid architecture also delivers a fast, low-cost, and fully EVM-compatible ZK rollup, providing unparalleled security without sacrificing speed or compatibility.
On the user side, depositing native ETH or liquid staking and restaking tokens into Zircuit allows users to earn project points and native restaking rewards.
