As one of the earlier guilds, YGG successfully built a large player base in their flagship game Axie Infinity—over 10,000 scholars from more than 10 countries and regions. During this time, YGG also secured partnerships with 21 gaming projects, some of which are already being played within their community. For new games, YGG typically deploys subDAOs to focus on specific geographic regions or individual games. For example, the first YGG subDAO was YGGLOK (League of Kingdoms), but there are now others such as YGGSPL (Splinterlands), YGG Pilipinas, YGGSEA, and IndiGG.
YGG has invested in and operated 21 different P2E games, including Axie Infinity, Thetan Arena, Illuvium, ZedRun, League of Kingdoms, SplinterLands, Guild of Guardians, Star Atlas, and Embersword.
Due to its first-mover advantage, YGG has established an exceptionally strong position, enabling them to recruit at a faster pace and higher quality. This in turn will further allow YGG to expand into other games more rapidly when evaluating investment opportunities, giving them greater capacity to scale their subDAOs and maintain their core objective of generating revenue through operating and renting NFTs, as well as investing in the highest-yielding NFTs within the Metaverse.
