TechFlow, on September 25, the GriffinAI team announced a major security incident involving the GAIN token on the BNB chain. The attacker deployed a fraudulent Ethereum contract and manipulated LayerZero peer configurations, successfully minting 5 billion unauthorized GAIN tokens on the BNB chain, which were then dumped, causing a significant drop in the token's price.
The attacker's wallet address (0xf3d173...58db2) has been identified and still holds a large amount of the over-issued tokens. The GriffinAI team is conducting further investigation.
