TechFlow news, September 24 — According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has pledged to donate $2 million to two political groups as part of its ongoing efforts to defend core crypto freedoms in the United States.
Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi announced on X that the exchange will donate $1 million to Freedom Fund PAC and increase its 2025 commitment to America First Digital to $1 million.
Sethi stated that "the fight for crypto in America is far from over," warning that foundational crypto rights such as self-custody and decentralized access continue to face threats from "regulatory uncertainty," bans on privacy tools, and efforts to criminalize infrastructure. He described the donations as a "strategic investment in the legal and regulatory frameworks that will define crypto's future," emphasizing that Kraken supports principles like privacy, self-custody, and innovation—not political parties.
