TechFlow news, September 23: Reuters previously reported that regulators have advised some domestic securities firms to suspend their real-world asset (RWA) tokenization operations in Hong Kong. Affected by this, related stocks in the Hong Kong market declined. Guotai Junan International dropped 8.24%, currently trading at HK$4.58; CITIC Securities is now at HK$27.78, down 0.93%; China Galaxy is at HK$10.72, down 1.74%; and Guotai Haitong is at HK$15.62, down 1.51%.
It is understood that over recent weeks, at least two major brokerage firms received informal guidance from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) instructing them not to conduct RWA business overseas. The latest regulatory guidance aims to strengthen risk management for new ventures and ensure companies' initiatives are supported by solid and legitimate business foundations.
