TechFlow news, on September 21, OKX CEO Star tweeted that "Hyperliquid has proven that on-chain perpetual contract businesses can achieve great success even with very few employees"; he noted that competitors like Aster are now entering this space, and OKX Web3 has been testing similar products since 2023, but chose not to launch on mainnet due to regulatory concerns. He also cautioned that while observing the growth trend of on-chain perpetual contracts, one must not overlook the 2023 enforcement action by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) against Deridex, as the regulatory enforcement landscape has fundamentally changed, and expressed hope that the industry could soon obtain the urgently needed regulatory clarity.
