TechFlow news, September 19 — According to Decrypt, NBA superstar Kevin Durant has regained access to his Coinbase account, which the exchange confirmed via email.
On Tuesday, Durant's manager Rich Kleiman revealed at the CNBC Game Plan conference in Los Angeles that Durant had been unable to log into an account opened nearly ten years ago. Kleiman stated it was a user error and that they had been working directly with the Coinbase team to recover the account.
Durant first purchased Bitcoin at the end of 2016 when its price was around $600, a value that has since increased by over 950% in the past five years. In 2017, he and his manager became early investors in Coinbase through their 35V investment fund, and in 2021 officially signed on as a brand ambassador.
