TechFlow news, on September 18, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced today the successful execution of the largest cryptocurrency seizure in the country's history in Montreal, confiscating over $56 million worth of digital assets. In this operation, authorities successfully shut down the cryptocurrency exchange TradeOgre for the first time. According to investigations, the platform is suspected of providing money laundering channels for criminal organizations due to operating without registration with Canadian financial regulators and failing to require user identity verification.
