TechFlow news, September 18 — According to Bloomberg, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, together with Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono and Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal, sent an inquiry letter to Attorney General Bondi demanding confirmation on whether Binance has fully complied with the requirements of its 2023 settlement agreement. The agreement, which stemmed from money laundering and sanctions violations, required Binance to pay a $4.3 billion penalty. While Binance has paid the fine, concerns remain regarding its compliance oversight. The senators also expressed concern about Binance's ties with World Liberty Financial, a company linked to the Trump family.
