TechFlow, September 18 — According to Jinshi Data, a research report from Huatai Securities stated that the Federal Reserve announced its September interest rate decision early Thursday morning (September 18, Beijing time), cutting rates by 25 basis points as expected. The dot plot indicates another 50 basis points of rate cuts by year-end, and Powell's remarks during the meeting were dovish. Given that the labor market may still face pressure in September, supporting a rate cut in October, Huatai Securities has raised its forecast for the number of rate cuts by the Fed this year from two to three, meaning further 25-basis-point reductions are expected in both October and December.
