TechFlow news, September 10 — According to official disclosure from IOTA, IOTA has launched Salus, a blockchain-based trade finance platform designed to address the global $2.5 trillion trade finance gap through tokenization technology.
Salus focuses on critical mineral supply chains and leverages IOTA and TWIN trade data infrastructure to convert traditional paper-based trade documents into verifiable digital assets. The platform uses IOTA Identity to manage digital identities of supply chain participants and tokenizes key trade documents such as warehouse receipts and bills of lading as NFTs, anchoring them on the IOTA ledger. This solution complies with international digital trade standards, providing transparency, speed, and liquidity support for the trade of critical minerals such as copper, lithium, and rare earth elements.
