Prices in cities dropped by 0.3%, while rural prices fell by 0.6%; food prices decreased by 4.3%, while non-food prices rose by 0.5%; consumer goods prices declined by 1.0%, and service prices increased by 0.6%. From January to August, the average national consumer price was 0.1% lower compared to the same period last year. In August, the national consumer price remained unchanged month-on-month. Urban prices were flat, while rural prices rose by 0.1%; food prices increased by 0.5%, non-food prices decreased by 0.1%; consumer goods prices rose by 0.1%, and service prices were unchanged.
