TechFlow, August 31 — SlowMist's Yuxian posted that a user participating in the WLFI private sale had all assets stolen from their MetaMask wallet due to a phishing attack following a private key leak. The attack appears to have exploited the EIP-7702 mechanism, automatically draining funds once the user injects gas or attempts to claim WLFI. It is suggested that, for potential recovery, users might attempt a Flashbots same-block frontrunning operation, though this approach has high technical barriers. Users are warned to remain highly vigilant against secondary risks arising from private key exposure.
