TechFlow news, August 30 — According to a report from the People's Daily app, reposted by the Global Times official account, the Dongxihu Branch of Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau in Hubei Province dismantled a telecom fraud gang. The suspects fabricated scripts portraying "high-quality single women" to initiate friendships, luring netizens into investing in virtual currencies on fake platforms. A total of 30 suspects were arrested, with 27 currently under criminal detention and three under administrative detention. Police are handling the case further in accordance with the law.
