TechFlow reports on August 27 that, according to Crypto in America, over 110 cryptocurrency companies, investors, and industry advocacy organizations have jointly signed an open letter addressed to the leaders of the Senate Banking and Agriculture Committees. The initiative is led by a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) advocacy group and has received support from major industry players such as Coinbase, a16z crypto, and Ripple.
The joint letter emphasizes that they cannot support the market structure bill unless clear protections are provided for open-source software developers and non-custodial service providers. The coalition calls for clear federal rules to protect decentralized finance developers, ensure nationwide regulatory consistency, and safeguard American open-source innovation.
