TechFlow news, on August 22, according to NLNico, Philippine Congressman Migz Villafuerte has submitted Bill HB 421 proposing the establishment of a Philippine Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The proposal suggests that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) purchase 2,000 bitcoins annually over five years, accumulating 10,000 bitcoins to be held for 20 years without selling, aiming to strengthen national security and debt stability. If passed, the Philippines would become another country to include bitcoin in its national reserve strategy.
