TechFlow news, on August 22, according to an announcement by SBI Holdings, SBI Holdings has signed a share transfer agreement with some existing shareholders of CoinPost to acquire over half of the shares of the Web3 media company CoinPost, making it a consolidated subsidiary. The transaction is expected to be completed on October 1, 2025.
CoinPost is one of Japan's largest cryptocurrency and Web3 specialized media outlets and also operates "WebX," one of Asia's largest Web3 conferences. Following the acquisition, both parties will collaborate in three areas: expanding media capabilities, supporting digital asset investment growth, and jointly organizing industry events. SBI Holdings stated that this move will accelerate the societal implementation of Web3 through synergy with group companies, helping establish a new foundation for Japan's financial digital industry.
