TechFlow, August 21 — According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency security platform Kerberus announced the acquisition of Refract, the developer of the fraud protection browser extension Pocket Universe, for a seven-figure sum. Following the acquisition, Kerberus plans to integrate Pocket Universe with its security extension Sentinel3 and expand protection to all Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains and the Solana network.
Kerberus CEO Alex Katz stated that they are developing the industry's first dedicated cryptocurrency antivirus software to address the most significant current security threat—malware attacks.
Pocket Universe founders Justin Phu and Nishan Samarasinghe will step down from operations but continue to support the Kerberus team. Meanwhile, Ran Neuner, founder of Crypto Banter, will join as a strategic advisor.
