TechFlow news, August 21 — According to CoinDesk, Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, said at the SALT conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that Bitcoin is bound to surpass $1 million in the future. Eric Trump identified himself as a "Bitcoin maximalist" and stated he currently spends over 50% of his time on cryptocurrency projects. He predicted Bitcoin will reach $175,000 by year-end.
Earlier this year, American Bitcoin, the Bitcoin mining company co-founded by Eric Trump and his brother Donald Trump Jr., merged with American Data Center. The company is expected to go public on Nasdaq through a merger with Gryphon Digital Mining, with the Trump brothers holding a 20% stake and Hut 8, a Bitcoin mining firm, holding the remaining 80%.
