TechFlow news, August 19 — According to an official announcement, Tether announced on August 19 the appointment of Bo Hines, former Executive Director of the White House Crypto Council, as its Digital Assets and U.S. Strategic Advisor. Hines will be responsible for formulating and executing Tether's development strategy in the U.S. market and enhancing communication with policymakers.
During his tenure at the Trump administration, Hines led the development of the regulatory framework for stablecoin issuers and promoted collaboration between the government and the blockchain industry. Tether has invested approximately $5 billion in the U.S. ecosystem, and this appointment will further advance its strategic positioning in the American market.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the appointment reflects the company's strong commitment to growth in the U.S., particularly in digital assets and infrastructure investment. Hines holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University, with extensive experience in legal and policy regulation.
