TechFlow, August 15 — According to Cointelegraph, Swiss supermarket chain Spar announced it has partnered with Binance Pay and Swiss fintech company DFX.swiss to roll out cryptocurrency payment services nationwide. The service is currently available in 100 stores, supporting over 100 cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, and is planned to expand to 300 stores within the coming months.
André Scherrer, Managing Director of Spar Switzerland, said that compared to traditional card payments, crypto payments can save merchants up to two-thirds in transaction fees. After users scan a QR code via the Binance Pay app to complete a payment, funds are automatically converted into Swiss francs.
