TechFlow news, August 15 — According to The Block, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its decision on whether to approve Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposals. In filings submitted, the SEC stated that the next deadline for the Bitwise Solana ETF and the 21Shares Core Solana ETF is set for October 16. Both filings state: "The Commission finds that it is appropriate to designate a longer period within which to issue an order approving or disapproving the proposed rule change so that the Commission has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised therein."
SOL ETF proposals are making progress as companies last month amended their filings to seek SEC approval. Firms including ProShares, Grayscale, Canary, and 21Shares are all awaiting SEC approval.
