TechFlow, Aug 13 — According to CoinDesk, on August 13, Kazakh asset management firm Fonte Capital launched the first spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in Central Asia on the Astana International Exchange (AIX). The fund, trading under the ticker BETF, is priced in U.S. dollars.
Each share of the fund is backed by physical bitcoin, with custody services provided by licensed U.S. custodian BitGo, which offers up to $250 million in insurance coverage. BitGo ensures asset security through offline cold storage and secure vaults.
