TechFlow news, August 10 — According to The Block, Bo Hines, Executive Director of the U.S. Crypto Council, will resign from his position and return to the private sector.
Hines later confirmed the news on X, stating, "As I return to the private sector, I look forward to continuing to support the thriving crypto ecosystem in the United States."
Terrett, host of the Crypto in America podcast, said that Hines' deputy Patrick Witt is expected to succeed him. Terrett added that Hines will continue serving as an advisor, assisting White House AI and cryptocurrency lead David Sacks with artificial intelligence-related initiatives.
Hines was appointed to the role by Trump in December 2024. He told The Block in April that within just three months of taking office, he had already met with over 150 individuals in the crypto industry.
