TechFlow news, August 9: Polygon founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal criticized OpenAI in a post on X platform. He stated: "OpenAI's recently released OSS model is like an open-source farce. True openness means making state-of-the-art models accessible to everyone, not versions three tiers behind. Any subpar release is merely a marketing tactic. The cryptocurrency industry faces similar issues—some large institutions and DAOs are playing centralized roles. Now we can only pin hopes on Musk, who might be the only one to open-source top-tier models, even if it may not be financially optimal."
