TechFlow, Aug 9 — According to a Caixin report, the advancement of quantum computing has heightened security concerns regarding blockchain technologies used by Bitcoin and other crypto assets. Caixin learned from multiple policy insiders in mainland China that since late June, relevant authorities have held several meetings to discuss trends and response strategies regarding stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, stating that research should continue but public hype around stablecoin enthusiasm needs to be cooled down. Regulators are also closely monitoring trends in stablecoin and related technological developments, remaining cautious about issuing a renminbi-backed stablecoin.
