TechFlow news, August 8 — According to The Miner Mag, U.S. Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark disclosed in its Q2 2025 financial report that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has accused the company of importing Bitcoin mining machines of Chinese origin between April and June 2024, requiring additional tariff payments. If CBP's allegations are upheld, CleanSpark could face tariff expenses as high as $185 million (excluding statutory interest). CleanSpark stated it will vigorously contest the claim, asserting that its import documentation and hardware suppliers can confirm the equipment was not manufactured in China.
